Calculation checklist

Reconstitution math checklist

Use this page to check the arithmetic around user-entered vial amount, diluent volume, concentration, volume conversion, and receipt provenance. It is deliberately limited to math verification. It is not medical, clinical, treatment, manufacturer, or legal guidance.

1. Freeze the source values before calculating

Write down exactly what you are using as inputs before opening any calculator: vial amount, amount unit, diluent volume, volume unit, target value, target unit, and any label you want on the local receipt. If a value is unclear, stop and resolve the source material first instead of letting a calculator guess.

2. Check concentration as amount divided by volume

The basic concentration check is simple: total amount divided by total diluent volume. ReconstIQ shows the formula so the result is not a black box. The important part is unit consistency: mg, mcg, IU, mL, and any selected display scale need to be converted intentionally before comparing results.

3. Treat mL and unit-scale outputs as conversions

A volume result or unit-scale result is a conversion of the values the user typed. It is not an instruction, recommendation, substance database, schedule, or health decision. ReconstIQ’s product boundary is visible math from user-entered values.

4. Keep a receipt when the calculation matters

A useful receipt should keep the entered values, formula, warnings, app version, engine version, created date, and an input hash together. That makes it easier to re-check what was calculated later without reconstructing the context from memory.

5. Know when ReconstIQ is the wrong tool

Do not use ReconstIQ to choose a substance, choose an amount, evaluate safety, interpret a protocol, replace professional judgment, or decide what to do in the real world. Use it only when you already have values to calculate and need transparent arithmetic.

Inputs

Vial amount, diluent volume, units, target value, and label are user-entered.

Formula

Concentration and conversions should be visible enough to check independently.

Receipt

Save formulas, warnings, app version, and input hash with the calculation.

Boundary

Math only. No medical advice, substance recommendations, or real-world instructions.
